Programs for Adults
Our psychological and behavioral health programs include individual counseling, medication consultation, case management, and therapy groups. Mosaic Mental Health also provides educational resources and referrals. We continue to emphasize evidence-based treatment and methodologies in our clinical work. Vocational Services
Vocational Services Vocational Services at Mosaic foster the self-sufficiency of individuals with mental health challenges by providing the supportive practical tools they need to return to the workplace, and stay employed in jobs that are meaningful and satisfying. Funded by New York State Adult Career and Continuing Educational Services (ACCES), and operating since 1996, our Vocational Services comprises several programs: Supported Employment This program provides job coaching and placement based on clients’ needs, interests, work history and education. Working with employment and placement specialists, clients are prepped on how to apply for and secure jobs. Job Placement Job Placement services help adults with mild to moderate mental health or substance abuse issues in areas of resume preparation, interview skills, and job referrals. Short-term counseling is provided to help clients make the transition into the workforce. Vocational Assessment Our services help clients identify job goals based on an assessment of their strengths, academic achievement, and vocational interests. Work Readiness Training Clients participate in training for up to 10 weeks to improve socialization and communication skills, and take part in internships to practice new skills before beginning active employment. Marble Hill Outreach Program
Marble Hill Outreach Program As part of our ongoing effort to extend our community reach, Mosaic Mental Health introduced the innovative Marble Hill Outreach Program in partnership with Bon Secours New York Healthy Communities Initiative. With their long histories of serving communities in critical times of need, Bon Secours and Mosaic MH were a perfect fit. The goal of the Marble Hill Outreach Project is to identify and engage people in the community who are in crisis, distress, or feeling helpless. Using interventions within the community, individuals dealing with these issues shed the stigma of mental illness and begin to believe they can be healthier. Home and Community-based Services
Home and Community-Based Services Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) provide opportunities for Medicaid beneficiaries with behavioral health conditions to receive services in their own home or community. |
Resolve Center for Recovery
ReSolve Center for Recovery The ReSolve Center for Recovery provides counseling and group therapy to clients and families whose lives have been affected by chemical dependency. Using individual and group modalities, influenced by a 12-step approach, we bring clients and family members out of the pain and social isolation caused by the trauma of addictive behaviors. Each client is assigned an individual counselor and a personalized program of group treatment is developed to address each client’s individual challenges. Crisis Respite Center
Crisis Residence Mosaic's Crisis Residence is part of an innovative citywide approach to helping adults who are experiencing psychiatric crisis. The Crisis Residence provides a “soft landing” as an entry point to the mental health system. The program comprises mobile crisis teams, a Crisis Residence (as a short-term alternative to hospitalization), and a Peer operated Support Line. At our Bronx Crisis Residence we create a warm, homelike, and supportive environment for guests to learn recovery and relapse prevention skills. The Crisis Residence is staffed by trained Peer specialists who have lived the experience of mental illness, providing a living example of hope for our guests. Residential Services
Residential Services There are two programs within Residential Services that provide specialized levels of housing services for Bronx residents living with mental health difficulties: Apartment Treatment Program Our licensed Apartment Treatment Program provides housing to clients with a range of case management services as they transition to more independent lives. The apartments are located throughout the Northwest Bronx, and clients are able to access clinical services through Mosaic Mental Health or other providers. Supported Housing Mosaic Mental Health's Supported Housing Program provides accommodations for clients in one and two-bedroom apartments in Northwest Bronx neighborhoods. This program is designed as a transitional step for those clients able to live more independently, while still receiving case management services. Critical Time Intervention
Critical Time Intervention Critical Time Intervention (CTI) is a time limited case management model proven to help mentally ill adults transition back into the community after hospitalization. Services last 12 months and are divided into 3 specific phases. CTI focuses on important areas of treatment that promote a successful move from the hospital to a stable life. |
