A Message from Dr. Donna Demetri Friedman, Executive Director, Mosaic Mental Health
It is hard to believe that 9/11 was 20 years ago. At the time I was the deputy director of the agency and part of a team here at Mosaic that mobilized to provide therapy to the community in the days after the attacks.
For some, especially the families of those lost, the anniversary may trigger feeling of grief, regret, and remorse. As I look back, the anxiety and tragedy of that day is not unlike the trauma inflicted by the current pandemic, everyone responds to trauma differently – know that Mosaic is here to help.
Below are two publications on the work done by Mosaic, post 9/11 and 20 years on – read them and see how vitally important mental healthcare is, especially in times of need.
